Idul Fitri 1445 H, Prabowo Subianto Mengadakan Halal Bihalal dengan Gibran dan Keluarga di Kertanegara

Jakarta — The Indonesian Minister of Defense and the President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, held a Halal Bihalal event to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri in his residence on Jl Kertanegara No. 4, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/4).

Guests arrived one after another at Prabowo’s residence, including the Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, along with his wife and children.

Prabowo personally welcomed Gibran’s arrival. They then conversed in the living room, where Prabowo also greeted other guests who were present.

“Minal aidin wal faidzin,” Gibran said as he shook hands with Prabowo.

Other notable attendees included Retired Police General Boy Rafli Amar, the Chairman of the Golkar Party Advisory Council Aburizal Bakrie, the Chairman of the National Mandate Party Zulkifli Hasan, the Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto, the Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.

Guests at Prabowo’s residence were treated to typical Eid dishes such as ketupat (rice cake) and opor (coconut milk curry), fruit juice, siomay (dumplings), and a variety of other dishes.

Accompanied by music, Prabowo also took the time to pose for photos with the guests and shake hands, exchanging apologies with one another.

“Please accept my apologies, for any actions or words amiss,” Prabowo said, as he warmly greeted each guest.

Earlier in the day, Prabowo performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer with the residents in the Bojong Koneng area, Bogor, West Java.

He then paid a visit to the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at the State Palace and visited the residence of the Vice President of Indonesia, KH Ma’ruf Amin.

* Halal Bihalal is a traditional Indonesian gathering that takes place after Ramadan, serving as a cultural and religious event where individuals come together to seek and offer forgiveness for any mistakes and wrongdoings committed in the past year.
