Idol Kpop pendatang baru yang lahir dari YG Entertainment, BABYMONSTER, baru saja merilis mini album pertama mereka bertajuk ‘BABYMONS7ER’ pada Senin, 1 April 2024.
Album ini penanda bahwa BABYMONSTER resmi comeback dengan formasi lengkap tujuh member, setelah Ahyeon kembali bergabung pada awal tahun ini.
Mini album BABYMONSTER menampilkan tujuh lagu yang mencakup berbagai genre musik, seperti ritme yang kuat dalam ‘MONSTERS’, nuansa hip-hop/dance dalam ‘SHEESH’, dan kolaborasi dengan Charlie Puth dalam ‘LIKE THAT’.
Keunikan vokal Ahyeon yang segar terdengar dalam ‘Stuck In The Middle (7 ver.)’ dan ‘BATTER UP (7 ver.)’, serta cerita perjalanan mereka yang terungkap dalam ‘DREAM’, memberikan kesan yang istimewa. Sementara ‘Stuck In The Middle (Remix)’ menawarkan sentuhan yang berbeda dari lagu aslinya. YG memilih SHEESH sebagai lagu utama untuk album mini ini.
Beberapa nama terlibat dalam penggarapan lagu ini, salah satunya Choi Hyunsuk TREASURE. Ia berperan sebagai penulis lirik dan komposer bersama Choice37, Sonny, Lil G, Sandra Wikström, dan lainnya.
