Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised Indonesia’s Free Nutritious Meals Program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto as a commendable effort to enhance the well-being of Indonesian citizens. He highlighted the program’s significance within Indonesia’s broader development agenda, recognizing the hard work and aspirations of the Indonesian people. Albanese also emphasized Indonesia’s pivotal role in the Indo-Pacific region, promoting peace, prosperity, and stability.
During a bilateral meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Albanese and President Subianto discussed the strategic cooperation between Australia and Indonesia, focusing on defense, trade, investment, and Indonesia’s aspirations to join international organizations such as the OECD and the CPTPP. The Australian Prime Minister underscored the partnership’s foundation on shared values, mutual respect, and a vision for inclusive regional development.
