President Macron arrived with First Lady Brigitte Macron, greeted by President Prabowo Subianto in an official ceremony that included the playing of national anthems and a 21-gun salute as a formal tribute.
The event was a show of solidarity and partnership, with ministers from the Red and White Cabinet present along with Prabowo’s son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo. Macron’s visit to Indonesia also included trips to the Military Academy in Magelang and the Borobudur Temple, emphasizing the shared cultural and educational values between the two countries. Following the welcome ceremony, a closed-door bilateral meeting was held between Macron and Prabowo to discuss various strategic partnerships, marking a significant step in strengthening the ties between Indonesia and France.
