The Ministry of Health in Indonesia recently launched the Free Health Check (CKG) program for schoolchildren nationwide, including in West Java Province. This initiative is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s Quick Win agenda to provide high-quality and affordable healthcare for all Indonesians. The program aims to detect various physical and mental health issues among elementary school students in a targeted approach. By conducting health screenings directly at schools, the government ensures more accurate diagnoses and increased coverage. The checks include assessments such as physical fitness, vision, blood pressure, and immunization status. Principals of participating schools, like SD Prestasi Global, have reported successful implementation of the program, with hundreds of students receiving health check-ups and immunizations. In addition to physical health, the government is also addressing mental well-being, especially for junior and senior high school students. The program is a collaborative effort involving multiple ministries and agencies to ensure the well-being of schoolchildren across Indonesia.
