President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, warmly received Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The state ceremony was attended by approximately 3,000 students from elementary to high school levels from different parts of the capital. President Boluarte’s motorcade, accompanied by 17 motorcycle troops and 60 mounted guards, paraded from the National Monument (Monas) to the palace gates. Upon her arrival, President Boluarte was personally welcomed by President Prabowo, where both leaders stood on the ceremonial podium as the national anthems of Peru and Indonesia echoed through the air. They then inspected the honor guard and paid respects to their respective national flags. The two presidents introduced members of their official delegations, with President Prabowo accompanied by key ministers. A bilateral meeting was held between the two leaders to enhance the ties between Indonesia and Peru, both of which are members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). President Prabowo’s past official visit to Peru was reciprocated by President Boluarte’s visit, underscoring the continuous diplomatic exchange between the two nations.
