Prabowo Receives Warm Welcome from Brazilian President

A momentous state visit took place at the Palácio do Planalto in Brasília, as President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia arrived to meet with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The courtyard was filled with a solemn and dignified atmosphere as President Prabowo arrived, greeted by full military honors led by President Lula. Dressed in a dark navy suit and traditional Indonesian peci, President Prabowo saluted the Honor Guard of Brazil as he walked past them. The Indonesian flag was raised alongside Brazil’s national flag as the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya was played. President Prabowo stood in respectful silence beside President Lula as a gesture of deep respect for his diplomatic counterpart and the values of statehood.

After the welcoming ceremony, the two presidents entered the palace, exchanged warm handshakes, and posed for official photographs before meeting with their respective delegations. President Prabowo was accompanied by senior Indonesian officials, including Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia. From the Brazilian side, notable figures present were Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, Minister of Agriculture Carlos Henrique Baqueta Fávaro, and Minister of Education Camilo Santana.

The visit was marked by a ceremonial performance from the Brazilian military band and mounted cavalry, who proudly displayed the Indonesian flag from the palace balcony. This symbolic moment highlighted the growing friendship between the two G20 and BRICS member states. The state visit cemented the diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Brazil, showcasing mutual respect and cooperation between the two nations.
