President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia visited Klaten, Central Java to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, a key initiative of his administration. The President was warmly welcomed by excited residents, teachers, and schoolchildren who cheered as his motorcade passed by. Donning a brown suit and black peci, President Prabowo interacted with the crowd, even handing out shirts as he made his way to the official launch ceremony in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District. The Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program is a vital part of President Prabowo’s economic agenda, aiming to establish over 80,000 cooperatives nationwide by October 28, 2025. These cooperatives are designed to boost rural economies, enhance farmers’ trade terms, and generate new employment opportunities, fostering inclusive development from local communities upwards.
